The aim of the project is to promote basic competencies on ICT in art subjects through integration of them into curriculum of our schools. It advocates for the development of quality and innovation in education.
The objectives of the project are:
• Use traditional visual and performance art techniques and ICT tools in order to teach subjects in an interactive way by improving teachers and students` ICT skills and develop creativity.
• Through online and face-to-face communication to develop team work in an international group for
teachers and students, also promoting Baltic identity.
• To learn from partners about tools that can be used in art and ICT integration in formal education. To use at least 10 different ICT tools for art/theatre and IT integration.
• Increasing the level of collaboration skills.
• Develop students' awareness of their involvement in quality education.
The objectives and the aim will be achieved through class exchanges and the communication of project partners via skype, emails and eTwinning platform. The class exchanges provide opportunity to the students and the teachers to collaborate with the aim to understand the identity of Baltic countries via art, education and culture.
All three project partners enrich the learning process with ICT tools and awareness in application of tools in educational context. During the project teachers and students become partners searching for the best solutions and ways to make learning and teaching process motivating and advocating the quality. The class exchanges involve 11-14 years old students, the age when learning becomes unmotivating and all focus is on friends and self expression. As a result, students are able to be actively involved not only in communication but to improve ICT usage skills for educational purposes, will develop presentation and English language skills, broaden understanding about art and theatre, become more self- confident and promote diversity.
